@beccad11:  To be honest, I didn’t have too much choices in my wedding colors because my Fiance is in the military and my mother is giving me our families best heirloom jewelery to wear (it’s definately a statement piece) so my colors kinda had to go along with those things.

Also you’ll want to have your venue picked because you won’t want your colors to clash with the decor of the place, you’ll want to blend.

@beccad11:  Do you like any of the traditional fall colors? Oranges, reds, yellow, golds?

burgundy and gold? Doesn’t look overy fallish.

Maybe instead of focusing on color, think about how you want the wedding to feel? Formal, rustic, low key etc.

So this is a more red/rustic wedding

and this is a more formal wedding using red

Same colors but ‘feel’ completely different.

@Treeline:  I agree with this. I didn’t decide on my wedding colors till I got the “feel” of my wedding down. I went with a modern, simple but elegant feel and my wedding colors came out to be truffle, ivory with bursts of lime green.

@beccad11:  there are definitely a few factors to consider when picking out your colours.  venue colours, season, theme or the mood/enviroment you want to portray.

the one factor that most people don’t think about is what colour looks good on them.  what colour do you wear that makes you glow and feel good?  this/these colour(s) will be used for bm dresses, flowers, decor, etc.  you will be photographed with these elements all day so make sure you are surrounded by colours that make you look great in pics.

i love the colour orange but i don’t look good in it so i would never choose that colour to be photographed with.

Im getting married in January and had winter wonderland in mind UNTIL I saw my hall. It was gold and black, now my wedding colors are red and black with accents of gold in everything. Not sure if this helps. Also, my friend is getting married in October she’s doing fall colors minus orange in our flowers and our dresses are burnt orange w gold shoes.
