I am having a small destination wedding with about 40 of our close friends and family…After much deliberation we have decided to not go with the traditional wedding party table since each wedding party member has a spouse and children they would be seperated from….so, we are going to have both sets of parents and the one and only grandparent that will be attending….but now we have to choose how to break up the families and friends…the obvious thing we want to avoid is alienating one family from the other and keeping them “grooms side” “brides side”….but we want to make sure that people enjoy themselves as well.
Ive made escort cards so the resort staff will know what kind of meal to serve each guest, but Im unsure of how to display them?? I have a ribbon board that I thought about using and just making cards that say “Table 1”, “Table 2” etc…and then setting the cards underneath and just letting each guest choose what seat at the designated table they want to sit at??? Any thoughts or other suggestions????
