I love your set. It looks good on your hand. What don’t you like about it? If it’s a size thing, please know most of us on here have diamonds smaller than one carat.

I think it’s beautiful.

For my first marriage, my center stone was .53 ct. Let me see if I can find a pic….

I think it was plenty big enough, I loved the size and chose it myself.

This time around I am getting a 1 ct, but not because I chose it, Fiance did.

Here is my .53

Here’s my half carat engagement ring. It’s vintage. It was my FH’s great grandma’s ring.

Very beautiful set, what would you change about it?

My center stone is .42 and I love it. I dont see anything wrong with changing yours  though if that is what you want to do. This is my upgraded ring that I got a week ago. Most likely in a couple of years I might upgrade to a 1C but we will see how it goes. You are the one that has to be happy with it. By the way I also think the set you have now is very pretty.

@Firemansgirl:  See how you feel in 3 years. There will always be a bigger/better/different style ring out there, no matter what you upgrade to.

I think it’s normal to have some ring envy, but you should try not to compare.

Three years is a long time yet. Nothing wrong with upgrading, but you never know how you’ll feel when the time comes.

Your set is very pretty, what do you want to change about it?

I don’t think you should. I think you’ll be headed for disaster and never be satisfied the more you keep comparing your ring to others. Once you change it once, you’re just going to want to change it again.

Let it go. Stay away from the ring boards, & be happy you have a beautiful set.

@Rubbs:  I think this is great advice. I really think that if you upgraded, you would probably get insecure about your upgrade at some point..the grass is always greener! I think your set is beautiful.  I guess 3 years from now, if you are unhappy, it would be worth it. But right now, your set is beautiful 🙂 There will always be someone who has a bigger rock.
