Retailers usually use an art gum eraser to remove glue marks. Its worth a try if you cant get these arseholes to replace your shoes. This whole situation is ridiculous, and their “customer service” is a joke!

Take them to the retail ombudsman!
It has worked for me in the past after i’d spent nearly 4 months trying to get my money back and experiencing unimaginably bad customer service! They take care of the whole thing including all communication with the company and will usually get great results – it costs the company money every time a claim is made against them by the ombudsman so it’s generally cheaper for them to just give you a refund! Usually the mere mention that you’ll take the issue to the ombudsman will get you the result you want.
Good luck! I’d be furious if this happened to me.. It makes them look so unprofessional!

For a company that makes such high-end products, they should really stand behind them. You stored them as suggested. It’s no way in your fault that this happened, and I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. Hopefully you can get it rectified somehow!

That’s horrible! I agree with PP–can you bring them to a physical store?

Just a little update for you guys.. they replied to my tweet today with a message and said the following –
“We are sorry to hear about this and have read through your message in detail. Please let us speak internally and then we will reach out to you once we have reviewed with the team you have been speaking with. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Best Wishes, The CL Team.”
Soooo hopefully they will make this situation right. Thanks for your advice everyone, looks like social media is a good way to get some answers.
I’ll let you know what happens once I hear more!

Jesus those shoes look horrible. I’d be furious if I spent that amount of money on a shoe to have it turn nasty orange like that. Demand new shoes or that they fix them!

that royally sucks, i would never be able to afford such beautiful shoes, but it is apparent by your story all shoes are subject to damage over time!
I would like suggested exhaust all possibilities before touching them!
Maybe they think if you spend that much on shoes whats the big deal, u could just get another pair? I’m sure their clientel in general buys a new pair every season, and they don’t care about the little battles.
I also think its complete agony that you stored them as directed, brought that point up and they just laughed. I don’t care if they were 50 dollar shoes, they should be helping the situation.

I really hope that they right this very quickly. You’ve got to love Twitter for the ability to get to the ‘top’ right away.
