I need to put a list together for my DJ of the must-play songs at the reception. We are having a mix of music to appeal to everyone but we only listen to Christian music such as Sanctus Real, Skillet, Toby Mac, Barlow Girl, etc (Way FM) and I am afraid if I give them a general description such as “contemporary christian” we will end up with songs we don’t know and don’t necessarily want to hear. Can anyone give me good Christian dance songs that I can put in a list to give to the DJ?

@aubrav: If your interested in only dancing to Christian specific music that may be tough. I mean i don’t even know how many Christian songs (even contemporary stuff) would actually be stuff you’d want to dance to. While still contemporary in nature they still are like worship/praise songs about God, praises to Jesus, His salvation, grace and stuff like that you know…
I’d suggest looking into artists that are Christians but play regular music. This way you can feel confident that your DJ isn’t going to play music thats inappropriate, has cursing in it or anything like that. My top recommendation. Owl City. he’s def a Christian but he plays non-Christian specific music. His music is so fun, peppy and good clean music to dance to. Relient K is pretty okay too.
But thats just my little ol’ opinion it’s your wedding =) really if you want 100% Christian music I’d suggest David Crowder.

Maybe try Fusebox and Audio Adrenaline. I bet you can get on Christian radio stations’ websites and listen to some clips of different bands/artists to find more. I’m pretty sure KLove lists all their artists online.

I definitely want a mix of different types of music, but I do want them to play the music that I listen to also. We are going to have them play current popular music, 80’s music, rock and christian. If I didn’t include Christian music, I don’t know any of the current secular pop so it wouldn’t be as fun for me. I ended up just sending him a list of 20 Christian songs that I want played so they could fit them in. Thanks for the help!
@ilovemyhotdogdog There is some really good Christian dance music, have you ever listened to Group 1 Crew, Thousand Foot Krutch or Tobymac? You should check them out. 🙂

Maybe I’m a little late, but some Kerrie Roberts could work as well.
