I’m hoping you bee’s can help me! I bought this dress after a terrible shopping experience with the House of Brides. They made me purchase a dress in their store after my dress was discountinued. They only offered a store credit. They had ZERO dress in store that I liked so I bought the christina wu dress offline without seeing it in person. If you have a picture of you in the dress can you please post it? I have only seen it online.

I am from Australia, and I too am very interested in purchasing the Christina Wu 1591007 dress. Love it!
I can’t find a retailer in my country, but was hoping you could give me any feedback about the dress, or some details about which online store you purchased from? I’m scared of the risk buying online, but if i can find it cheap enough, i’m willing to risk it. Some online stores are making knock off’s but not sure how good the quality will be..
I’d preferably like to get the dress made to measure my size.
any advice you could give me would be great!

Here is the link where I bought the dress. I’ve never seen the dress in person but I do know that the ribbon around the waist isn’t actually silver. Its cream and it has beading on it. The silver ribbon was for pictorial purposes only. I’m not sure why they would do that. I’m hoping someone on here posts a picture of them in the dress. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for the reply. I’d prefer the silver ribbon too… but i guess you could easily change this once the dress arrives.
Please let me know about the quality of the dress when it does arrive. post a pic if you can, that would be great. Does the House of Brides, recreate the Chrisine Wu design or is it an official label? not that it matters, I just am curious if the quality will differ because the prices on the sites seems so cheap.
Most standard wedding dresses in Australia cost between $1500-$4000 AUD and our dollar is very similar to US right now. crazy!
I contacted a company called Elegant Occasions, located in Wausau, Wisconsin.
The lady there email the following…
“..We carry almost all of the House of Wu formalwear lines, including
Christina Wu! The price that our store has style 1591007 is
$819. This would be the price of the gown if you order through
our store as you would not pay sales tax as long as you do not
live in the state of Wisconsin. Also there would be free
shipping available to one address in the Continental United
States if you order through our store, Elegant Occasions.
Shipping to Australia would be additional. In order to give
you an approximate quote for the shipping, I would need an
address of where you would want the gown shipped. I recommend
ordering at least six months in advance as some gowns can take
4-5 for delivery, however this company does have rush options
available if you should need the gown sooner. They do have a
few of these gowns in stock in certain sizes and colors. Do you
know what size and color you were interested in? What type of
custom measurements were you wanting to have done to this gown?..”
I wish I could see the dress in real life before i commit to the purchase. I’m still hoping I can find it in my country!

@LJ11: House of Brides orders the dress from the designer so it’s not a replica. I will post a pic and let you know the quality as soon as the dress comes in. Good luck on your dress hunting!
