Hmmm… I’m newly-engaged, but I thought I’d comment anyway.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with using wedding photos in your cards if you really want to.  Maybe you can just make sure you use different photos than the ones you sent with the thank-yous?

At the same time, if you want to reflect the post-wedding couple you’ve become… maybe you can have an informal photo shoot with you and your hubby.  You’re likely to get a couple of pics you really like, and your Christmas cards will show your recent changes.

I use rubber stamps to make my Christmas cards.  (I’m still engaged, so I might have to skip this year, since that’s when my invites will go out!)  I f you don’t want to craft, I would do an informal shot if you look different, now…

Most of my newlywed friends, no I take that back, ALL of my newlywed friends make their Christmas or New Years cards from a very festive photo from their wedding-even if the wedding was in the summer-there is always something you can use, and if I’ve attended or not I am still happy to have it.

I would use something enw depending on when you got married. If it was during the summer or fall Definatly send a wedding photo.  If it was earlier I would get a new Photo of the two of you showing your "married bliss" so that people feel they are progressing with you.

As for us…we do send out Christmas cards and this year they will combine our save the dates with our christmas cards. I picked up the cards that have a space for a picture to be slipped in during the clearance sales after Christmas a few years ago and we will put a magnet with a picture on it in that space. We will create our own message and glue it over the holiday message that came on the card and ad an insert or glue the accomodation info on the other side of the invite.
