I didn’t want to do Christmas Cards this year, because I haven’t finished our thank you cards! But, receiving cute photo cards, makes me want to create a quick photo card with our wedding photo and just send it out.
Typically, I’m anti-generic, impersonal cards (like just sending a photo card with no note), but that’s all I would be able to do this year.
So, hive, I ask you – should I do a Christmas (or even a Happy New Year) card (since the clock is ticking) or should I go with my original gut and concentrate on getting wedding thank you’s out.
Also – would you be offended if you weren’t invited to a wedding and received a holiday card with the couple’s wedding photo on it?

Haha I’ve been wondering the same thing…I might just send out our christmas cards and get our thank yous out in January.

it’s a little late for christmas cards!
honestly, i would be thinking “where’s my thank you?” if you had time to send out holiday cards but not thank yous. why not just hurry up and finish your thank you notes?

If your wedding was just two weeks ago it would be one thing. But you are already almost three months from your wedding so Thank You notes should be a real priority. If I got a Christmas card I would wonder why you had time for that but not to write a thank you note. Whatever time you were going to spend on making the Christmas cards use to bang out your thank you cards.

I would do Thank you cards only, maybe add a note about Christmas.

Thanks, hive! Totally confirms what I was feeling. I think I’d feel like “hey! where’s my thank you!” I had no intention of dragging it out 3-months. I started them and then got really sick and was down for about 3 weeks – and then my mom had a fall and broke her hand and I’ve been taking care of her… so it’s been crazy! I’m still trying to do a few thank you’s a day to get them DONE. Can’t wait til that’s accomplished!
