For the past two years, I haven’t sent out Christmas cards. This year, I want to do them and I’m thinking about it NOW, so it actually happens.
I’d like to do a photo card this year and I’d also like to include a wedding picture (along with other pictures from the year). Although – our wedding was in October 2010 – which will have nothing to do with 2011 (for all intents and purposes).
Has my window to put a wedding picture on a card passed?

I personally feel you have to do it within that year. But I don’t think it’s bad etiquette… just not the norm.

Personally – I’d find it a bit strange to get a Christmas card with a picture from an event that took place over a year beforehand and in a different calender year.
I think if you were going to include a wedding picture, it would have needed to be in a Christmas card last year.

I think you could do it if you got a bit sneaky. Just include your favorite photos of the two of you, including one from when you were dating, and the ones from your wedding won’t seem out of place :).

Personally, I find it weird when people do photo cards that aren’t pictures of their children. It just seems kind of self-absorbed to me. That said, I would find it even weirder if you used a picture that wasn’t from that year.
