I think it’s totally fine and cute.  We sent out photo thank you cards, so we’ll probably cool it for the Christmas cards.

We have photo thank you cards AND photo holiday cards using wedding photos.  And people who are getting thank yous and holiday from us will get them 1 month apart.  Oh well.. it’s overboard and I don’t really care.. heehee

I think it depends on your group of friends. We all send (“trade”) photo cards with each other every year and most of us hang them all over a wall in our house or the refrigerator for several months.  It’s just part of our culture and way to celebrate the holidays.

We got married in October so we sent out Thank You photo postcards with a wedding pic on it, and then a month later sent out Christmas photo cards with an engagement photo on it but you can’t tell b/c it’s just us in nature and the border was all Christmas-like.

I think it’s slightly weird when it’s just a pic of us as a couple and no pet/children but that’s ok. Even stranger,  I got hubby on board the year prior-sending  a Couple xmas photo card even before we were even engaged ( but it was just a matter of time–he had already asked my mom about marrying me and was about to talk to my dad). But again, we send the cards to people we’re very close to so I don’t really believe they are thinking anything negative.  Through the years,  I’ve known very few people who are single and send photo cards.

Last year, my mom’s photo Christmas card was her, my grandma, my brother and Darling Husband & I in our family wedding photo. (She photoshopped my dad out since they are divorced and nobody could tell the difference). Lame? Weird? We didn’t care and had a good laugh.

We’re sending out Christmas cards with a picture on it – not sure if we’ll use a picture from our wedding or an engagement picture.  In fact, I’ve started to sort through pictures to figure out which one we’ll use so we’re not doing this at the last minute.

Oh i was thinking of doing this as well! I got married in July and was going to send out x-mas cards with a wedding pic but thought it might be “too much” or people might start mumbling “get over it already” (the jerks!!! *laugh*) but im TOTALLY going to do it now.

I got a card from a friend last year who used the program on her MAC to do a card that had a wedding pic, a honeymoon pics and some others and inside the card was just an update of their life. It was really sweet!

I was thinking it might be too much for our family & friends if we did a wedding photo too, but now I’m thinking of doing it again!  If we don’t use a wedding photo, we will use an egagement photo (provided we actually get around to ordering and sending the cards!).

I like photo holiday cards too.  I mean, they’re better than the generic 20/box snowflake or snowman!

My SO’s best friend got married in August a few years ago and he and his wife sent out Christmas cards that year with a really cute wedding pic on them. I thought it was so cute and it brought back memories of all the fun we had at their wedding. We ended up saving the card after Christmas because the pic was so cute.

This year’s cards came in the mail yesterday. We ordered a week ago b/c there was a special deal going on and I’m due to give birth in early January. So I want to get prepped already, just in case she comes a bit early. I’m probably the only crazy one with Xmas cards b/f Halloween, but definitely excited. OUr pic was taken by a sign in the snow and says “Hibernating, see you in the spring!” That will be us, b/c we will have lots of baby time coming up soon. We took it this past winter b/f we knew we were ‘with child’. 😀

Love the idea, I plan on doing my Thank you Cards as Christmas cards.  Killing 2 birds with one stone.
