So, I’m super proud with myself. We were out shopping last night, and of course, SO wanted to stop by the tvs to take a look again. I listened to him while he pointed out the ones that he really liked, and explained that a bigger tv would really help because of his poor eyesight (whatever… But, okay) and I just nodded and asked questions about the tvs. I didn’t make any snarky remarks about rings or anything, since it seems pretty pointless at this ‘stage of the game’. After all, the definition of ‘insanity’ is repeating one’s actions over and over and expecting different results, and i refuse to admit just yet that i am indeed insane, hahaha. There’s just no use in fighting the inevitable anymore, we are getting a new tv very soon, whether I like it or not…

i’ve been doing this challenge too… and I’ve done well so far, but I think it’s because I know it’s most likely not happening at christmas.

what i’m really trying is that “don’t talk about it ever again until he proposes” challenge. now that would be tough… but I’m going to give it a shot!

I’m thinking about doing this… it’s extra hard because for a while I was convinced he was going to do things over the holidays, but now I’m not so sure! I want to get the ball rolling but he is being secretive… we’ll see!

@alwaysamaid: it’s ambitious, but that’s exactly what I’m doing. The ‘Christmas’ challenge is a good way to ease myself in, but really what I’m going for at this point is to never bring it up again. Any time I do it just ends up in a big mess, so I’m done with it. I know I can do it, because I’ve done it before. The difficult part for me has been forcing myself TO bring up engagement when I felt like speaking up might be beneficial. But now i see that there’s no friggin point, I’m just going to sit back and shut up and do my own thing. Thanks, MrBee! 🙂

I’m in! SO knows I don’t want to get engaged around the holidays (I’m not fond of Christmas, crazy, I know) so it won’t be hard for me. 🙂

Oh boy. I am joining too (late, but oh well!). I am totally in the BLAH stage right now– I thought recent events would get things moving, but NOTHING IS HAPPENING!!! I am so fed up. If he wants to do this, he’s going to have to bring it up 🙂

Bahh impossible! I know he was hoping to propose before christmas, he’s just waiting on the ring… but it’s a surprise so I don’t get to know when the ring will be ready and he keeps joking around so I don’t know if it will still be before Christmas or not… the suspense is too much! I know I’m pestering but I just can’t get it off my mind…

@alwaysamaid: I like your style! That’s my goal too. But since I haven’t made it over a two weeks- ever…Christmas will be the mini goal. I’m hitting a reset button as of Tuesday-onward ho!
