I have still have our Halloween decorations up (need to take down – tonight maybe?) and about half of our Thanksgiving decorations up. I’ll start putting up Christmas decorations after Thanksgiving. We’ll probably get a tree the first weekend in December.

I don’t decorate for Christmas until mid-December. I get a real tree and keep it up until Epiphany, so it would be all dried out if I started on it now. Plus I get so sick of looking at my decorations if they’re up for more than a couple weeks… I am kind of a minimalist when it comes to decor ha. I still have my carved pumpkins on the porch until garbage day (tomorrow), and I have mums and a few mini pumpkins/gourds around the house that I’ll leave until after Thanksgiving, or in the case of the mums, until I kill them.

My tree goes up right after my birthday which is November 7th. This year i am having a tree decorating party on the 15th of Nov. and that’s when the tree goes up. I usually don’t take my tree down until around valentines day. I just love looking at all the lights and decorations.

OOOH! I think I might break out our decorations this weekend! We are doing an early Thanksgiving on Saturday for my Dad’s family, so that technically counts as after Thanksgiving, right?
Last year we didn’t put up any decorations, but I want to make sure we are doing it up this year. We celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah so double decorations!

Although I LOVE Christmas, I wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate. I actually took November 30 off of work JUST to decorate. 🙂
Growing up, we used to decorate the tree Thanksgiving evening. That changed when we stopped having Thanksgiving at my parents place and I don’t really help with their place anymore. So, I’ll do mine as soon as I can after.
I just have Thanksgiving/Fall stuff up now, after taking down the Halloween things last weekend.

I will be decorating probably next weekend because I cannot wait until the day after Thanksgiving. The day after leaves less than a month of Christmas…..can’t have that.

I wish! I told the hubs we could put up the tree and decorate it with fall garland for thanksgiving and he thought I was crazy!
I still have some sparkly skeletons hanging around the house from Halloween so I should probably put those away first! I worried I’ll get too busy and not have time to decorate after Thanksgiving!
