The scallops would good go very well with some braised leeks, roasted aspargus topped with the seared scallops and some gorgonzola sauce!

Then use the shrimp for appetizer tossed in a cajun seasoning and roasted and place one shrimp on top of a thin square slice of polenta (buy the premade stuff that comes in a roll for this) that has been pan fried till brown and slightly crispy

We usually do a Feast, just like Thanksgiving but instead we have a Honey Baked Ham! YuM!

My favorite dishes are the ham, green bean casserole and pie!

For a side dish, you could make my favorite dish ever: Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Carmelized Shallots and Crispy Pancetta.

It is easy to make and beyond delicious.  It looks fancy too!

We do a feast- since it’s just us this year we’re planning

– Rack of Lamb

-mashed potatos

– vegetable side

– Tres Leche for dessert

– Appetizers: possibly scallops or if they have sushi grade fish available some sort of tartar.

@Lolasmomma: If you buy the premade kind in a tube its firm, but softand tender inside, not grainy. There is also the polenta you make at home which is a lot like grits.

@Linz1231: That sounds super yummy! Brussels are my fav veggie.

We always have a traditional Norwegian dinner for Christmas Eve. My mom makes kjottboller (meatballs) with brown gravy, mashed potatoes, lingonberry sauce, homemade lefse, green beans with almonds & risengrot (warm rice pudding) for dessert.

Christmas day we’re doing roasted tenderloin of beef with a mushroom & red wine sauce, brussle sprouts, salad, roasted potatoes, & lots of desserts. YUM!

I’m jealous of everyone’s fancy food. We do deli trays with turkey and ham….and we do sandwiches and lots of sides =.

I’d love to have a nice slab of medium rare prime rib
