Between our wedding, a new house and a baby on the way, we are keeping things pretty small this year for Christmas. The problem with my sister is that it’s hard for me to know her taste, since we usually lean toward things that are very different. They live a long ways away, so I’m not around her enough to really know what they’d really like.

Its hard to give suggestions when we don’t have any idea what kind of things your sister likes but the gifts that Fiance and I are making for my cousins and our nieces and nephews are cute and could work for adults too if you threw in a bottle of wine and a gift certificate to their favorite take out joint…
We’ll be making a “movie night” gift basket for each of them which will include a DVD ($10), bags of gourmet kettle corn ($2), movie theatre boxes of candy ($1 each – we’ll put 2-3 in each basket), pajamas for the little kids and lounge pants for the older ones ($5-$7 at Old Navy through tomorrow) & $15 gift cards to Toys R Us for the little kids and FYE/Game Stop for the older kids. Everything will be packaged in plastic popcorn tubs like these…

I’m getting both my sisters and their SOs subscriptions to Mental Floss magazine for Christmas. I love it, and I think they will, too. It’s articles about random bits of trivia, but I’ve learned a lot from it. I’m also addicted to their website.
