What about doing one of those cute prints with the alphabet on it for the baby’s room?  Do you know the color/design?  If so you could easily make that at home and print and frame yourself.  It would be a really cute gift.   Plus if she later wanted to use the frame for something else she could

Well since one is a new mom and the other is going to be then they probably don’t have much time for things. A gift I got one time that I thought was really neat was a friend did “dinner date in a bag” for me. She bought a cute beach/tote type bag and put packaged pasta, a jar of sauce, cheap wine, and boxed easy to make cheese cake in it. I thought it was creative inexpensive but still took care of dinner for one night. Hoped I helped!!! =)

What about baking them something? I made my husband Chanukah cookies last night, and he said that would have been enough of a gift. If only he told me that before I spent all that money!

Have you looked at the site http://www.asos.com? It’s a british fashion company, but they have a section for kids as well. Right now its free shipping worldwide and if you buy their brand its 20% off. You could definitely find some nice scarfs or accessories there at good prices!
