@DCSquared: It was super cute, if anyone is looking for ideas for a cheap but personal gift. It was 22 pages too! It wasn’t huge, about a 6 x 9? I think with shipping it was $14? And that was for 2-day shipping.

We are going to exchange small gifts, and are probably buying a new washer and dryer together as our “joint” christmas gift.

We’re exchanging gifts, but we set a budget and mutually agreed to go the :lots of little presents” vs. “one big gift” route.

We are going on a huge 6 month trip through Asia next year and moving to our dream location (bay area) so we kept our gifts to less than $50 to make sure that we didn’t eat into our budget. We also aren’t really wanting for anything, so don’t see the point in holding out for something we want or need till December 25th when we can just as easily get it at the time we need/want it. We usually either do something small, or plan “experiences” for each other (like, we each plan a day of activities to do together – way more fun than just opening presents!)

We said we would be having “little Christmas” this year and only get each other a couple of not-too-expensive things, since we’re trying to save as much as we can for the wedding. Unfortunately, I enjoy gift giving way too much and I ended up getting him 10+ things.

I can’t imagine ever not exchanging gifts, even if they needed to be kind of small!

Originally we said no gifts this year then DH came home and said that he got me a few things. So now we are exchanging gifts!

Yes, but we’ve set a very strict budget on it.
