(First christmas with both in-laws passed away. all the brothers are married except one and we didn’t want him to spend it alone since he normally spent it with his mom)

We will be opening presents and stockings at 7am, then having breakfast. Mid-morning we will be Skyping family in the States, then possibly visiting my other grandma in the aged care facility in the afternoon. Or we will visit her on Boxing Day.

Ugh. I have a total of 7 celebrations between today and tomorrow. It really is too much (but it is all family).

CatyLady:  I want to hang out with your furry children too. They look so well behaved.

Today I have to work until noon-ish.  We do the annual office purge and good cleaning and then we’re off.  DH and I are taking the first week of January as vacation as well and we’re going to India and London, England for 2 weeks!!  We leave Saturday!!!

I’m working until noon, having dinner at my mom’s tonight, then we’re all heading to the theatre for the live play version of A Christmas Story.  We’re coming back to our house for the night, having gifts and a big breakfast together at our house tomorrow morning.  Then we’re off to the in-laws with our doggie early afternoon for turkey dinner and gifts.  Later in the evening we’re drinking with the neighbours.  Boxing day morning my dad is coming over and we’ll do gifts and a big breakfast again.  Then we’re heading to another party that night!  We still have to make a 2 hour drive to visit the grandparents at some point on the weekend.

Going to be super busy!  But’m REALLY looking forward to the play tonight 🙂  A Christmas Story is one of my favourite movies!

CatyLady:  I”m about 75% packed (there’s stuff under the tree that was bought for us to take!) but DH hasn’t started.
