Die Hard 1 in Die Hard 2 are staples at our house at Christmas. Love Actually is the bomb! And for a little Thanksgiving fare, Planes Trains and Automobiles is the best Thanksgiving movie.

Oh, The Bishop’s Wife, with Cary Grant and Loretta Young—what a lovely Christmas film!

I just love the old oldie Christmas movies, b&w a must, except for Miracle on 34th Street, of course.

A Holiday Affair

It’s a Wonderful Life—how do you not love Jimmy Stewart?  I have room in my heart for Cary, too, no worries.

Will post more as they come to me.

LOVE “A Holiday Affair”! A great look at customs and “morality” during an interesting era for women.

”Remember The Night” How could I forget THAT ONE. Make yourself a WONDERFUL cup of perfect hot chocolate, cuddle up by yourself on a chilly December afternoon, keep a box of tissues handy, and immerse yourself. Tears guaranteed.

And speaking of tears, “Since You Went Away” is NOT a “Christmas Movie” but the climactic ending occurs at Christmas. Requires a jumbo box of hankies.
