For my future IL’s I am buying them amazing cozy bath sheets and hand towels. They rarely spend money on themselves and their towels are threadbare. For my folks I got my mom several collectible bears and my stepdad a stocking full of candy and a best grandpa t-shirt.

Could you get them a GC to a really nice restaurant and place it in a carved box? I have always wanted a hand carved nativity scene. Would they like that?

I second giving them a gift card to a nice restaurant. It’s always nice to dine out when you know you don’t have to pay for it!

For my mom we got her a pair of black ankle boots. She is like me & really into fashion.

We haven’t bought my husband’s parents or my step dad anything yet. But as for my husband’s mom we plan to make her a “gift bag” sort of. We are going to get all kinds of different things that she likes, such as a christmas candle, gourmet chocolates, ect & put them together in a christmas bag. 🙂

I have not figured out what we are getting my step dad or his dad yet.

I third the gift card!

We’re giving them a framed wedding picture and a framed picture that Darling Husband got taken in his dress blues.  Last year we gave them a framed engagement picture.  Both of our moms love pictures, so that was their request.  I think we’re also going to buy each of them a book and a gift card to their favorite restaurant.

Experience gifts are always fun!

My parents are a little older and have health issues so this year I’m getting them Hallmark recordable children’s stories so future little raccoons can have them.

I also agree with the restaurant/basket idea.  My dad is into fishing as well and I often get him a boating or fishing magazine – would you dad like that?

This year Fiance and I got my parents an ipad.  We wouldn’t usually get anything that expensive but they gave us way more money towards the wedding than we were expecting, dad recent renovated our kitchen for us for free (including making the lounge and kitchen open plan) and they are going to europe next year so we thought it would be goood to travel with.

For both sets of parents this year we are just buying some nice luxury sheets.  Its the kind of thing everyone wants but no one buys themselves.  We received some as a gift and loved them!  You can get nice sheets anywhere, but our favorite was https://www.thomasleeltd.com/  You can usually find a coupon code for a discount pretty easily online.

Merry Christmas!
