Here’s a little DIY project I put together. I love ornaments and I love crafting so I combined the 2 and BOOM. A beautiful keepsake of my Christmas proposal. Side Note: That is indeed the exact box my engagement ring came in. 😊💍
I got engaged last Christmas to a beautiful, funny and caring man. He went out of his way to make this perfect for me and blew me away with shock. (I DID NOT EXPECT A PROPOSAL) You see… the previous year, I, along with my family experienced a house fire. Lost everything. The only thing I was left with was the clothes on my back. And even then the clothes I did have on, were useless. My shoes were soaked and muddy from all the water puddles the water hoses left behind. And my clothes smelled like the nightmare we had just experienced. Just awful. That day, I had on my James avery bracelet. And that bracelet, I hold dear to my heart. It has charms full of memories and since the house fire it is even more special to me because it’s about the only thing I had left. It was a tough time, but I was thankful because at the end of the day, although we had lost everything we still had each other. Glory to God because that was more than enough. Long story short, thanks to the support of friends and family and my wonderful man.. we were able to get back on our feet.
Christmas eve of last year… oh, what sweet memory. We were all in the living room of our now home. And when the clock struck midnight, infront of my entire family he asked me to open a christmas gift. After unwrapping millions of layers of christmas wrapping paper I found a James Avery box. As I opened it a little note pops up and instantly the love of my life surprisingly gets down on one knee. He knew how much I loved Christmas, how important my charm bracelet is to me and the memories on it, and he did it infront of the most important people in my life.
So ladies, that’s my proposal story. I would love to hear your Christmas proposal and maybe many more Bee’s will share theirs after these next couple of days! 😉 ‘Tis the season! ❤
Happy Holiays, ladies! XO.

What a beautiful ring! Congratulations!
And I think that idea is so awesome! Thanks for sharing. I tihnk it’s a great way to keep the memory alive every Christmas season by turning the ring box into a Christmas ornament. So crafy and when/if it happens to me on Christmas, I will definitely be doing something similar to the ring box so that it isn’t just stored away in a drawer!

OMG this is such a beautiful story!! You’re quite the lucky woman to have a man as thoughtful and sentimental as that 🙂
Not my story, but one of my sisters got engaged last year while her and here (then bf) Fiance were decorating their tree! He was handing her ornaments and she was putting them on the tree, and he handed her one she didn’t recognize so she took a second to look at it, and in that second, he got down on one knee. The ornament was one he had bought and gotten engraved to say ‘Sasha, will you marry me?’ and then underneath it ‘Christmas 2014’. And once she had registered what was happening, she noticed him on one knee in front of her with a ring. haha she tells the story way better because at first she was just so confused as to where the ornament came from and it took her a while to put it all together.
Regardless, I love Christmas engagement stories mostly because 1) there is usually a lot of thought that went into the proposal to orchestrate it, and 2) because every year you can have that memory while decorating the tree and hanging your ornament! It’s just beautiful (the stories and the ornament you created — so crafty!)
Happy holidays to all! <3
