a little. I would have a more traditional decor for the wedding and invite people to your home again in December after you have decorated for the holiday season.

Yeah… I find that weird.

I’m not a fan of themed weddings in general. Surely the wedding is the theme!?

Sounds werid.

Why not have the wedding in the winter/December to be more accomodating towards your theme with the holiday season?

I like Christmas too! I think if it was in December it would be much better (heck the church would be decorated for you), you could even register for ornaments! But in October it’s too soon for Christmas. I get annoyed at the decorations at the mall if it’s before Thanksgiving.

I think it would be kind of unexpected, but I don’t think you shouldn’t do it. I would definitely prep guests by saying something like how it’s “Christmas in October” themed. My friends and I had a second Halloween party on Christmas in lieu of a traditional Christmas party once, because we’re theatre kids and just like costumes. I generally think people should do whatever they feel with their wedding, so long as their guests aren’t uncomfortable or something.

Meh. I think it would be okay November through January but I’m not feeling it for October.

I love Christmas more than anyone but no. I’d say ok for mid November to end of December.

If you love Christmas why not get married around the actual holiday?

I’ll be honest, I’d have a serious WTF moment if I walked into a wedding in October and is was Christmas theme. That would be like showing up to a Halloween wedding in April. If you love Christmas, get married in December.
