Fake for me. I can’t stand the mess of real trees, and my cats try to eat the needles. I diffuse essential oils to mimic the scent of a real tree.

We are a military family so we have sentimental value with our tree! It’s traveled a lot with us. I also burn a lot of holiday candles! I know it’s not the same but it’s something.

We do real. Make a day of it and go and cut out own. The place we get it from has a huge fire pit, hot chocolate, christmas stores. Love it!

Fake. Though not for any reason besides it is what we’ve always done… also, easier clean up.

We did real, then tried fake a couple years and then went back to real last Christmas. I think this year it will be real again 🙂

We are doing fake this year since Fiance and I don’t live together yet. Going forward it will be only real trees because he loves them.

Fake, safer for the dogs. It is not as toxic for them as it would be for cats but neither of us want to take the chance.

We do fake, is just a lot easier and less maintenance. When christmas is gone we just pack it up until next year!

Always real. I know it’s messy, and a bitch to clean up at the end of the holidays….but it just doesn’t feel like Christmas without a real tree to us. We love the smell!!

I just can’t get down with a fake tree, because most of them look aweful. I know they make good looking ones, but they are expensive and then you still have to store it. DH’s mom uses a fake tree these days and we rag her endlessly for it..haha. It’s not a terrible looking tree, but it’s certainly not pretty.

That being said, DH always used to have flocked trees growing up. Talk about a bitch to clean up!!! That’s probably why his mom only has fake trees now that they’re grown and out of the house.

Fake! We used to use a 3′ metal ornament tree for the kitsch factor, but DH treated me to a Balsam Hill tree this year. I’m looking forward to decorating the heck out of it. 🙂

Ever since I was little girl, we always got real trees. I can’t imagine Christmas without real tree.

Fake! It’s all I’ve ever had though. Don’t real trees come with bugs in them?
