I have a friend who did wedding photo thank you and Christmas cards (wedding in October) and I didn’t think twice about it! I think it’s fine.

I don’t think so, especially if you pick another photo for the Christmas card.

@Mrs. Eagle:  No idea what the proper etiquette is on this, but I sent out photo thank-you cards after the wedding AND wedding photo Christmas cards. I did use different photos for each card.

I wouldn’t really care, but would probably internally roll my eyes, and think to myself “they sure like sending out pictures of themselves”

I’d prefer a christmas photo which is more traditional, over thank you photo.

Agree with andielovesj: as the timeframe is sooo close together, I too would feel it is a bit over the top.

BUT that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go ahead with a Photo Christmas Card anyhow… do you have any nice photos from your Honeymoon… be it of the two of you (in non-wedding clothes… especially if you had a Destination Wedding) or even just a great scenery pic.

All would be good options IMO

Hope this helps,

We’re going to use one of our engagement pictures more than likely.  I don’t know the etiquette surrounding this, but for me, I think the timeline is too close together & might be over kill since my wedding isn’t necessarily the center of everyone’s world haha.

I wouldn’t want one. I find photo christmas cards “cheesy” is that the word? I don’t want to offend anyone, but I’d rather have Christmas cards and a photo of you inside the card instead? That’s because I display the cards by color and shape etc… on a string or cord over the windows.

I am getting married Dec 1 and photographer contract says all photos will be back in under 10 days!  So I plan on doing Christmas wedding photo thank you’s.  I have never mailed out christmas cards in the past.

Fiance and I went to a September wedding last year and we received a wedding-photo thank you card in the middle of October. Then at the beginning of December we received another wedding-photo card as a Christmas card. It was a bit too much, I’m sorry to say.
