Just wondering if anyone here deals with chronic bladder/vaginal/pelvic pain … I’ve felt torn apart inside ever since I had a bladder infection 10 months ago and it’s completely killed my sex life. Don’t even ask about the medical side of it … I’ve gotten nowhere over the past year because of issues with the health care system.
I used to have the highest sex drive of anyone I knew. Now, I am almost never in the mood. Maybe because I know it’s going to hurt so much. Most of the time, sex feels like a hot cheese grater being rubbed against my insides. My boyfriend is extremely patient with me, but I’m starting to lose it and often break down and cry. Any advice?

@lia22: +1 my first thought.
Here is some information about it.
Pain is the main symptom of endometriosis. A woman with endometriosis may have:
Pain in the lower abdomen before and during menstruation
Cramps for a week or two before menstruation and during menstruation; cramps may be steady and range from dull to severe)
Pain during or following sexual intercourse
Pain with bowel movements
Pelvic or low back pain that may occur at any time during the menstrual cycle
Note: There may be no symptoms. Some women with a large number of tissue implants in their pelvis have no pain at all, while some women with milder disease have severe pain.”

@Hyperventilate: I have it, I have severe pain almost like childbirth contractions. I don’t have the pain during bowel movements or sex but my mom had those symptoms when she still had her uterus (removed due to endo)
