@Sugaree:  Don’t car pool with him. Go and let him come whenever he gets ready.

That is beyond annoying.  I can’t stand chronically late people.  There is a manager no less at the company I work for is is 15-20 minutes late at least 3 times a week.  As long as he calls to say he will be late they see it as no big deal.  Seriously? If you are always 15-20 minutes late get up 20 minutes earlier.

I am chronically early.  It drives Fiance insane b/c I will be yelling at him that we need to leave NOW! Only to arrive somewhere 10-15 minutes before everyone else.  What can I say I hate being late.

Sorry you have to deal with him.  That isn’t cool.

I would still take the car. If I were your boss I would approve of you taking the car as I wouldn’t want my employees to be late. It reflects terribly on the company

I would make sure you have the keys and what not to the car, and warn him that b/c he has been late days in a row, that tomorrow you WILL leave without him b/c you will not look bad b/c he is a slacker. and if he isnt on time, LEAVE without him.. he will be the one who has to explain…

(im ALWAYS early for everything, being late makes me panic)

This would drive me crazy.  I hate people who are chronically late, and when I’m dragged into it, it totally makes me panic.

A girl at my works is ALWAYS late, I mean everyday. The boss doesnt come in til a couple hours later so she gets away with it. But somehow if I show up a minute late the boss always knows about it…what the heck.

I’d give him the keys and take a cab.  I hate being late too!

As annoying as it is, some people are just chronically late. No matter what they do, or how hard they try to arrive on time somewhere, it just isn’t possible for some people.

My Fiance is one of those people, he’s always late, no matter what. It took some getting used to and accepting that it was less about him being rude and disrespectful and more about him just having very poor personal time skills.Once I accepted he would always be late, it saved a ton of fights about it. If we need to be somewhere by a certain time, and the time isn’t negotiable, I always tell him we need to be there at an earlier time. Otherwise, most of the time its not a big deal.

@DEBeachGirl:  I’m on the chronically early side, too. HATE BEING LATE!
