I would appreciate anyones input on this one. I am doing my own invites at the moment. We have 100 Guests to the afternoon reception and approx 200 at the evening. Originally what we wanted to do was invite everyone to the wedding ceremony that wished to come then sort of word in in a way that they were invited to the church then the evening reception. But upon reading some of the comments on this site i am thinking it may be better to just invite them at the evening. Because of the cost that is why we are inviting everyone at night but not to the day. Can anyone help please

So are there 300 guests at your wedding, 100 at the afternoon reception and 200 at the evening? How are you deciding who to invite to which? My first reaction is this will be REALLY uncomfortable when your guests start figuring out what is going on. The only reasonable case I’ve heard for doing this is if you are part of a church and want to invite all the members to witness your wedding and have punch immediately after.
