I’m at a loss for what to do to decorate the stage at my church for the ceremony. I’m on a pretty tight budget, so I can’t have anything too elaborate. This is from when my friend got married at the church last summer.
I plan to use an arch in the middle, just like she did. The uplighting will also be provided, as it’s already there and used every Sunday. I can probably get columns made, but I want to do something a little different. I found this picture the other day and thought it might be a do-able idea.
Are trees like this too wintery for an April wedding? Do you think it would look good in my church? Any other ideas of something that would be pretty, yet budget friendly?

The bare trees do look wintery to me. Maybe you could use potted trees and/or plants if you want a spring look instead. Where did your friend get the columns she used? Maybe you could use the columns in a different formation and/or use a different color tulle and maybe add flowers and/or vines and give a gardeny feel.

I thought about that, but she borrowed them from a friend of a friend, and I don’t know either of those people. 🙁

I actually think the columns are distacting from the bridal party. If you were to use them, I would suggest only 1 on each side of the arch.
I think your tree idea is totally doable. Again I would use only 2 . Rather than spray them white, which gives them a wintery feel, leave them natural and hot glue on some silk blossoms in whatever color you like. You could use grapevine and the same silk flowers to decorate the arch.
A larger version of the manzanita branch centerpieces:
Secure the branches in a pot with plaster of paris.
Blossoms are definitely a “spring thing”.

Could you wire flowers to the branches to make them seem less stark? Here are some pictures of other ideas that I think would look good for a spring wedding.
