If it is a beautiful church w/marble floors, why do you need to decorate it at all?

Bows on the pews or the cones that hang off the pews/chairs with florals?

We couldnt have an aisle runner either so I made “petal edges”. Hope they look the way I was envisioning! =)

It will look like a wedding w/o an aisle runner. You will be in a gorgeous dress and look like a gorgeous bride–what is a better wedding decoration than that?!

I think candles are always a nice touch, and they dont overwhelm the environment, or clash with the existing decor.

pew bows/flowers and flowers up front are all that we are doing. (it’s also a beautiful old church and really doesn’t need much else!)

You don’t need one with marble floors.

We are getting married in a beautiful church and I am not doing a stitch of decorating. Why take away from the beauty. And everyone knows they are there for a wedding.

(plus, I don’t know if your church gave a reason for not allowing them, but my church doesn’t allow them becase they are very easy to trip on! eek!)
