Engaged and about to lock in on a venue in Philadelphia but need to make sure I can find a church in Philly. My Fiance and I are Catholic and finding a church (friday night wedding) seems to be quite difficult so far ?!
We are not members of any churches in PA (from NJ).
Any Friday wedding ceremony suggestions ?

Oooo, that’s tough. Maybe you could call the Diocese office to see if they even HAVE churches that offer Friday night masses?

You will most likely have to become members of the church and attend pre cana classes there so it’s good that you are starting early. What if you try a catholic college? They tend to have Friday night mass and can be very accomodating. We were married on a college campus and it was incredible! We did have to pay a site fee but it was truly beautiful.

No worries, I was an out of town (ohio) bride looking to be married in Philly on a Sunday no less. You should try Old St. Joseph’s, Father Hricko is incredibly sweet and very responsive to email. Also we did not have to join the church or attend pre-cana there…we completed our FOCCUS and pre-cana in ohio. best of luck in your search!
