(Closed) cicada – why the name?

@janie-janie:  We had an “outbreak” of them a few years ago.  Our dogs liked eating them.  they would even dig them up to eat them!!! and the vet said it was NORMAL!!!!

I’d say someone had a twisted sense of humor!!!

@janie-janie: ooooh, YUCK!!!!  I’ve had flies and bees do that, and it ALWAYS freaks me out!  then again, I’m also mildly allergic to bees, so they in general freak me out!!!

@SandyThePoet: yeah, you’re probably right… and I’ll bet they probably pronounce it differently, too!!! (at least, I’m hoping they do!!!)
