I just purchased a Claire Pettibone dress (Rosa) for my wedding. waaaahooo!!!I tried on about 9 dresses at the trunk show and LOVED them all but this was the one that I liked the best (and that fit into my budget.) The gowns are so beautiful and original and I have never seen anything like them. I recommend that anyone who is looking for a dress consider this designer. AMAZING! I also got the cutest hat to go with it!
I don’t know what kind of bridesmaid dress to get with it though…any suggestions? I was thinking of buttercup yellow as the color and maybe even letting the girls pick their own dresses with dark purple flowers?

I love the dress! Only bit of advice is I would stay away from pastel colors unless your bridesmaids are tan.. I have 4 bridesmaids and my original color was going to be Canary but when they put the dresses on…..lets just say they looked whiter.. I like the purple idea though.
Hope that helped some.

well i never would have thought of yellow but my twin sis tried on a few yellow dresses and looked adorable ( i think htey were watters). most of the maids are the same size and coloring as us so I’m thinking they would look cute.

Hi ‘flaming red’. Are you married yet? If so I hope you had a lovely wedding and I am interested in buying your <span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”border-collapse: collapse; font-family: ‘Lucida Grande’; font-size: 11px; white-space: pre; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px”>Claire Pettibone wedding dress. Please post me a message if you want to sell.

Gorgeous! It’s a really light and airy dress so I’d stick to lighter fabrics (no taffeta or silk shantung); chiffon would probably be the most complimentary.
Sky’s the limit with the colors – what are your wedding colors?
