I just got a clarisonic today. There was a special at my medi-spa, buy 3 get one free and they give you the second most expensive product free. So I got some crazy free radical prevent anti-oxidant something for free that is apparently going to make me live forever and be my most beautfiul self too!

But it’s the clarisonic I’m really excited about! Mine has the sensitive brush but four speeds and Claire (the lovely lady who does my facials and stuff, aka the best “thing” that ever happened to my face) said the 4th speed is good for the body. Woohoo! Can’t wait to try it out!

So, ladies, those of us who recently purchased a Clarisonic–what do you think?!

Mine just got here last night and I’ve used it twice (ok, I admit, I wasn’t patient enough to let it charge for 24 hours…I just couldn’t wait!).  My face has NEVER been so clean.  I’m anxious to see what the next few weeks of using it has to bring!  I’m hoping it will help my skin enough that I can get off my acne medication!

Just ordered mine and I can’t wait to try it! What cleanser do you use with it? I think it comes with a sample, but I’m thinking more long term…

I use two cleansers with it: Murad Clarifying Cleanser and Cetaphil.  Those are the two cleansers that work with my skin the best with or without the Clarisonic.

I also have to stress how important it is to change the brush out every three months!  You can definitely tell the difference once you’ve changed out the brush head, and it’ll keep it clean and sanitary.

I’ve had the Mia for about 2.5 months and I love it. I use it nightly. I saw results immediately! I expected my skin to purge, but I haven’t had a breakout since I started using it (and I usually get hormonal breakouts like clockwork – I started Yaz in December and that likely has a hand in it too). My old red marks and acne scars look a lot better since I started using my Mia. I can go out without any makeup at all and feel good about my skin. Especially with the wedding coming up, the purchase was so, so worth it.

And I use it with my Clinique mild liquid cleanser. Works really well.

It’s the best thing I’ve ever gotten for my skin. If you look around on  line, you shouldn’t pay more than $125 for a Mia.

Oooo! I really want one now…

does anyone have ideas about if it would be okay to start it before my wedding?

My skin is combo (oily t zone) and I occasionally get a zit but mostly am only dealing with deep set blackheads and I wish my pores were smaller! My fiance also has issues with large pores on his nose and cheeks and deep blackheads. Neither of us have sensitive skin.

I may have to make an sephora purchase….

thanks all!

@Sulli — you might be okay to start before your wedding, but it seems so heavily dependant on skin type.  I have been using my clarisonic for nearly a year, and I can’t remember whether I ever broke out at first.  But my skin is generally the same as yours–slightly oily t-zone, otherwise normal, occasional breakout (although I also take acne medication).

I was a little surprised to read that some people have problems with it… My skin does totally fine with it.  In fact, I usually push the button a couple of times each time I wash my face (i.e., at least 60 seconds of clarisonic, sometimes twice a day).  Now that I have it, I don’t know how I could live without it.  It’s like when you have to use a regular toothbrush after using a sonicare–your teeth don’t feel clean!  I use Purity by philosophy and I think it’s a GREAT combo.  I think sephora even sells a package with that duo.

mine just came from overstock. i ripped the package right open and couldn’t wait to use it. my skin feels really soft and i can’t stop touching it which is BAD, but i am excited for results after 2 weeks….
