I, myself went through this when deciding on a ring. I fell in love with a Tacori Ad and always had my heart set on something similar. While the ring was being made, I second guessed just getting a solitare but my fiance knew how much I loved the cushion halo and told me to get it. Once the ring was finished, I knew I made the right decision. Especially since ALL of my girlfriends have solitare rings, it’s nice being different. The only thing I do regret, is not getting a smaller stone. Sometimes I feel like it’s a little too gaudy :-/

They are both beautiful!! I’m partial to round solitaires, but I’m biased and also feel the style fits my personality. It also tends to be the type I love at the end of the day when I get tired of other ones. You should go with the one that feels the most “you” or the one that fits your relationship the best ๐Ÿ™‚

I love brilliant cut solitaires. Mine is a 1 carat brilliant cut with a tapered white gold band. It’s a size 5.5 (in this pictures I think it was still a size 6 – I had told my Fiance in the past I was a 6 but turns out I’m not haha). I love round solitaires because they’re so classically beautiful and never go out of style. Also I just like simple styles in general.

halo! i’m usually a solitaire girl, bc i love their simplistic elegance, but that halo is actually incredibly elegant and not too clunky/gaudy or anything. i love it!

I love the cushion halo ๐Ÿ™‚ Maybe because I have a halo as well. I just got another comment last weekend from a perfect stranger asking if my ring was vintage. Love it!

I’m so glad the solitaire is winning. I do love me a good halo but I’m a total sucker for solitaires!

Cushion halo with round centre!  Melts my heart haha. I am biased because that is my ring, but I love it.  I LOVE cushion cuts, but I wanted the RB because of the sparkle.

Halo.  Since it is a plain shank I believe you get the best of both worlds!

my instinct was to vote solitaire… however I love the dainty halo on that ring!

@ayirk723:  I love the halo option, but could you have them use the band style of the solitaire? Maybe it’s just my personal preference, but I think the halo would look perfect with a more rounded edge on the band, like the one in the first photo.

They are both beautiful! I think you’ll be happy with either one ๐Ÿ™‚ great choices.

I like the halo better. I tend to find solitaires pretty boring and the majority of rings I see irl are solitaire.

I most definitely prefer the round stone with cushion halo as I feel you get the best of both worlds. You get the brillance and fire of the round stone with the beauty of a cushion due to the halo.  Here is a pic of my ring. 1.5 round center on a size 6.5 finger
