@loren.darr:  Can’t go wrong with the Arrival of the Queen of Sheba (ironically used as an exit piece! ) I also really like My love is like a red, red rose.

Make sure you find the version of Cannon that you really like, there are so many, some more ornate than others 🙂

Edit: I’ve just fund this website that has loads of samples that can give you an idea of what something sounds like as a piano solo. I absolutely adore the Yiruma the river flows in you (just not the fact it got hijacked by twilight fans haha)

we used jesu, joy of a man’s desiring for seating of the family and bridal party. i used canon in d for my entrance. my pianist said those are good choices because jesu transitions nicely into canon.

i don’t even remember hearing canon as i was walking down the aisle. i’m kinda sad about that.

for the recessional we did a combination of autumn and spring from vivaldi’s 4 seasons. it sounded really pretty!

I second Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring – it’s a beautiful piece and is great for weddings. You could also try some songs that might have personal meaning to your and your fiance – whether it’s a well-known song, piece of classical music, or a TV theme song
