There are many people who sell on there that have no postings on these boards. Many are vendors, so make sure you look at their profile and see what other things they have listed. Also as vendors, they have access to cheaper shipping prices when selling in bulk.

You’re definitely not the only one who feels that way. I hardly ever look at the classifieds anymore because people are trying to sell their “crap” for the same amount they paid for it new. These are the same individuals who pop a $20 sticker on a “gently used” whatever that they bought from TJ Maxx 3 years ago for $19.99. My mother and I laugh at these people. If I’m buying something used, I expect to pay 50% or less of the retail price. Anything more and I may as well just buy it new and not worry about there being any issues with the used merchandise.

I think this is generally how classifieds are, not just here on WB. I hate craigslist in my area for that. I have even seen people selling their used IKEA furniture for more than they bought it for!

A couple months ago I saw a girl posting a clutch for $50. Someone asked her what it cost originally and she said she didn’t know because it was a gift, and then someone else posted that they bought the same one from David’s Bridal for $20. It was just really shifty. I’ve gotten some really good deals from the classifieds, but I agree, a lot of is girls trying to make back 99% of what they spent on their wedding, or just not realizing that maybe their veil has a lot of sentimental value to them, but that does not translate to REAL value, and your $200 veil with a rip in it is not still worth $180.

I definitely agree! I have found a few REALLY GOOD deals on WB and am SO GREATFUL for them, but the others are almost ridiculous and I just go right on by them.

I plan on selling what I can from my wedding, but you can bet your but it’s not gonna be for full price or anything like that… It’s going to be reasonable, I know how much I’m searching for deals and I know other brides are too..

Happy Hunting:)

Don’t even get me started on pre-selling!! “My wedding is in 5 months, but you can go ahead and give me money to help me cover my ass where I went over budget, even though you have no way of knowing if any of these things will be in good condition until after my wedding is over. What a deal right!?”
