Think historic garden…and a long white tent. Im looking to light/decorate the tent on a budget. After a lot of back and forthness I think I have a good plan. Ive been looking on saveoncrafts.com for ideas and to stay within budget! I found small globe or cafe lights from target and i was going to string them along the perimiter of the top of the tent (where the tent walls would connect to the top). Then I was going to get faux ivy and grapevine garlands and zig zag them back and forth along the top of the tent. Also, I saw ivory faux or ivory wood roses, string tnem, and zig zag them along the top too. The theme of the wedding is outddor/antique/victorian. But i still want it to be classy and elegant. Any thoughts? Am I crazy!!!!!

Don’t mix too much- it mightget to be too busy looking. I do think the rose garlands and the lights would be gorgeous together. Do a mini trial against a white sheet or outdoor umbrella and see.

I agree with FMILady- I would just use one or two types of decoration and use A LOT of them. It makes the design seem cohesive.

I’d rather see you use jackson vine to drape across the tent. I am a person who likes natural.
Jackson vine isn’t that expensive, and looks great when draped across anything!

I think less is more. So either drape the lights or the vines.

Less IS more! I am not sure about the zigzagging.
