I use Dawn with a baby tooth brush and clean mine about 1-2 times per week.

I clean my ring a few times per month – basically whenever the diamond starts to look smeary. I use a jewelry cleaner that comes with it’s own little brush. In addition to that I use another little soft brush to help get under the basket or cage of the diamond.

I’ve had my ring professionally polished/buffed twice since may and I have yet to notice any discoloration.

@Jane77677:  I clean mine about once a week.  But I have an emerald cut that shows the grime a lot faster than a brilliant cut.  I use a mixture of 1 part amonia to 3 parts hot water. I soak it for a minute or so, and then use a soft toothbrush to get under the stones. Finally, I rinse it with cold water and dry it with a lint-free cloth.  If I want a little extra shine, I’ll polish it with a jewelry cloth, but I usually don’t bother with that.

My jewelry store recommended windex and a soft toothbrush.  I have been cleaning it that way, rinsing w/ warm water, and then drying the white gold with a cloth made for eyeglasses.  I’ve only had my ring since Christmas, however, so I would be interested in hearing what the other bees have to say!

I use the cleaning solution that the jeweler provided and it has a little basket and brush in it. I clean my ring every other week, but I do wipe it with the cloth that comes with glasses probably every day.

I clean mine about once a week with a jewelry cleaning solution from our jeweler. It comes with a little brush too.

I have been taking mine into Robbins Brothers once-twice a month, since there’s one close to my house. I haven’t researched much about it, so I’m gonna keep up on this thread! I’d also like advice for home-cleaning my ring 🙂

I use a baby toothbrush I bought from Walmart.

My jeweler also said that cleaning it with windex and water was perfectly acceptable.

I spritz some Windex into a small bowl, put some lukewarm water in to mix, and let my ring sit a minute. Then I use a soft toothbrush to clean under the stone and between the prongs, rinse, and dry with a lint-free cloth. I clean mine about once a month, though I should probably do it more often.

Hot water, windex, and blue dawn dishsoap.   I soak the ring for a couple of minutes, and then use an old toothbrush to scrub it.   Whenever it looks grimey… I happen to work in a garage so my ring gets icky often.    I clean it a couple of times a week.
