Digitals are expensive! I wouldn’t use one until I had a couple positive FRERs.

I actually thought I was pregnant really early on. Like 5dpo I just had this feeling that I was pregnant. I kept testing with cheapies, then FRERs. At 12 DPO with another very negative FRER I decided that was it, there was no way I was pregnant. DH calmly reminded me that some women don’t get a positive until they’ve missed their period. Sure enough. I didn’t get mine until the day after my period was supposed to start. And I was spotting a bit so I thought my period was actually starting and it was stupid to even test. Two positive FRERs that morning and then that night I took a clearblue digital (with the weeks readout) and it said “Pregnant 1-2.”

So yeah, even though it says you *can* test 5 days before your missed period, I didn’t get a positive until the day after my missed period.

Blue dyes are totally evil.  Not sure about the digital ones, they should be okay.  I used a First Response digital just cause I was used to the FRER pink dye tests.

I got my positive on the digital 2 days after my BFP on the FRER pink dye.

I got a positive at 8DPO in the middle of the day with an FRER and then a negative on a digital at 9DPO with FMU. I tested again later that day with another FRER and it was positive. I didn’t get a positive with a digital until I had already missed my period.

I got my BFP on the digital test 9 days after conception.. That was half way through the day, so not first pee of the day.

And I got 5 BFN on normal tests the days leading up to that.

I’m a newbie. Very first post. I got my BFP with the clear blue digital test today! 10DPO. We haven’t told anyone but our parents and I was online looking at baby stuff (go figure) and came across this website. So excited and happy to share with everyone.

I did a First response and a normal clear blue at 25 DPO and got VERY faint positives but they were definately there…. I did a digital the same day and got NOT PREGNANT. I have since done three more first resoonse test all getting gradually darker positives… not tried another digi yet but read lots of horo stories about them…..

I got my positive digital at 13DPO. I got squinters on dollar store tests and FRERs as early as 10DPO. Good luck! The TWW is the worst!

Also- just a personal note:

I got much stronger positives with an evening hold of my urine. I would hold for 3-4 hours, then test and get much stronger results than my first morning urine.

It’s not common, but it was true for me.

It sounds like this isn’t the norm, but I got mine the day I expected my period (I couldn’t wait, lol). I must have been super-pregnant!
