I think your ring is beautiful and H is a great color. Do you know your stats on clarity and cut?

I’m not sure what you’re asking? My ring is an F VVS1 with an Excellent cut. So you can compare…

I can see through my stone from the side view, from the top it looks similar to yours in pictures. Mine is F/G in color and SI1 clarity.

I have an F colored diamond and it looks “clear”.  Although I don’t think an H colored diamond would looks less clear, or more white next to mine..

Is your diamond fluorescent?  Most of the time, fluorescence doesn’t effect how the diamond looks in normal light.  However, a small percentage of florescent diamonds look a little cloudy. From the picture I don’t believe yours is one of them, but I’m not a professional..

What are the rest of the stats? It is kind of hard to tell in a picture because diamonds have so much “life” that taking 5 pictures from different angles would make it look like 5 totally different diamonds probably.

Mine is very high quality (E, vvs2, best cut available for cushion cut) and I find that mine looks more “clear” in dim light and more white/bright in bright light.

If you think yours is white than it should be perhaps it is due to the cut or inclusions?

@Fallicious1012: I can tell my h earrings are not clear and are more whitish, def. but they also don’t have any fluorescence…your ring looks like it may, or was cut with a thinner girdle. I think it partially depends on if you’re familiar with diamonds. Like I have 2 necklaces, 2 sets of earrings, 2 cocktails, and then my wedding set. Someone with just their set may not notice as much.

White is ok.  Never yellow or gray!!

Yeah I think it’s fine.  I mean, it’d a diamond not glass.. as long as it doesn’t look cloudy I’m sure it’s great 🙂 and it’s beautiful!

Btw, I’ve seen a lot of people with those “nice big rocks”….and they’re almost always white. 🙂 I think there’s a sweet spot for clears….in 2 ct range and under!
