@Fallicious1012: You have a beautiful, unique ring.  Good luck with the wedding band search! If you have not had your ring cleaned in a while, I would suggest doing so.  It’s amazing how a ‘clean’ ring to our eyes can actually be pretty dirty (esp if you wear it all the time).  It’s amazing how sparkly a clean ring looks like!  Like new! You will fall in love all over again πŸ™‚

“Cloudiness” usually has more to do with clarity and cut than color. So some of the “clouding” may be coming from the SI2 rather than the color.

My stone is colorless and it is more of a “clear” than white.

It’s a F color and IF (internally flawless) cushion cut:

Also, your ring is gorgeous. I don’t see any “cloudiness” in the photos you posted.

@Fallicious1012: Well if he’s never seen it in person, how can he judge it!

I think your ring is beautiful so I wouldn’t worry about it.

I have seen cloudy rings before, but yours does not look cloudy to me.

Mine is J color and SI2 but an Excellent Brilliant cut (1.02 carat).

You can’t see a trace of inclusion and I can see through mine – no cloudiness or white-ish (or yellow for that matter – which I was surprised with a J color).

The guy at my jeweler store told me that everyone has a different “preference” in what they like for color. He says it doesn’t make a huge difference as long as you stay above “L” (or whatever it was). He said he personally preferred “H” colored diamonds and the other jeweler lady there laughed and said she actually preferred the way “K” colored diamonds look.

All I know is I LOVE mine, and I think the excellent cut makes the biggest difference.

Mine is somewhere in the JKL range and looks a little “warmer” but definitely not yellow. I think it’s gorgeous and have only ever had one person notice the color.

But that girl is a jealous beeotch. I don’t pay much attention to her. She was comparing my ring to someone else’s and said “well, yours might be bigger but hers is actually clear like it should be.”

She’s just rude and snarky because she’ll never get engaged.

Mine is a K in colour and its so clear it sparkles like crazy. i love the warmer colour. If i won the lottery and if money was no object, i dont think i would even get a whiter stone. i love mine just the way it is. its not yellow by any means, its just a tad warmer. if it was dull/cloudy AND warm, maybe i wouldnt love it so much, but because its warm and very very clear, it really looks so wonderful.

@Fallicious1012: I think you may have strong blue fluorescent in your diamond if you have a cloudy/white appearance. It also makes lower color grades appear brighter/whiter. Its not a bad thing. Appreciate your ring, its beautiful!
