My fiance and I have a pretty neat meeting story that I want to incorporate into the wedding somehow. About two years ago, a local magazine was doing a issue on eligibles in the area and I was lucky enough to be one of the featured singles. When the issue came out, my fiance saw my profile, thought we had a lot in common, took a chance and wrote into the magazine to get my contact info. We met up shortly after and have been together ever since.
Now…I want to incorporate this magazine theme into the wedding somehow and thought the escort cards/table numbers would be a fun way to do so without getting too cheesy. I want to keep everything very elegant. Does anyone have any clever ideas for these magazine themed escort cards? I thought about doing something with the subscription cards you tear out or the cover itself. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks all!

if you did engagement pics, I think it would be really cute to do magazine covers out of them…the magazine name could be the table # & the stories (headlines?) could be stories involving whomever is seated at that table or each one could have the same headlines if that is too tough, with wedding themes, like "Will there be cake face smashing? (p 67)"
if that is too cheesy, what about some sort of classic newsboy print?

oh, and if you made them 3d, the pages inside could be your guest book, and guests could write you messages during the cocktail/dinner hour

How about magazine address label like this?
You can use the same font, add the mailing barcodes, and use the table number and your wedding date as the random subscription number.
Table numbers can be names of popular magazine names – and they can be tailored to your table guest.. i.e. Better Homes & Garden or Family Circus for family, Marie Claire or Vogue for your girl friends, or Auto Trend for the guys.. you get the idea. HTH!

How about the little subscription cards that fall out of the magazine. Instead of Business Reply Card, it could say Wedding Seat Card and you could even use them as give-away postcards to have them sent to you after the wedding.

Do you have a collection of these magazines? You could tear pages with interesting topics (or the cover if you’re willing to do that) out and frame them or paste them on cardboard backing, one for each table. The topics could be good conversation starters. If you frame the cover, each table could be a volume/issue # of the magazine.
