First, I must say WeddingBee is addicting! I find myself spending hours searching posts! Here is my next question… anyone have good ideas for Cleveland wedding locations? We are looking Westside, Downtown, or South. I’m from Toledo so I know NOTHING and my fiance is sooo not helpful!

Wow..that’s a lot of options! Looks like you’re having a fall wedding, so you definitely have the pretty leaves working for you! I have lots of ideas for you, but do you want an outdoor location? Also, how many guests?

We are inviting 150 but planning on 130! We’re looking for indoors because it would drive me crazy watching the weather for outdoors! We’re getting married in a Catholic church in Lakewood so we need a reception location. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Mrscringle! I’m from Lakewood and having my wedding downtown at Windows on the River. What church are you getting married in? I went to St. Luke’s as a kid, although I no longer practice. Downtown Cleveland is only about 15 minutes from Lakewood, so depending on the atmosphere you want and also how much you’re willing to spend, I think Downtown is a great choice. Hmm what else can I tell you? Haha, I think I’ve repressed any recollection of my location search. There is a caterer called Sammy’s that has a TON of locations all over NE Ohio. Here is their site:
As much as I hate to admit it, I did use The Knot a lot for my location search. They have a pretty big range of vendors.
Here is another site, which also has an accompanying magazine:
I have a TON of photographer blogs that I stalk, so please let me know if you’d like their websites. I can PM them to you.
If you need any more help/info, please let me know. I’d love to help!

Hey! We are getting married in Cleveland, as I’m originally from the area even though my fi and I live in Boston now. We’re having our reception at the Renaissance Hotel downtown and we’ve been really happy with things so far. Sammy’s locations all get great reviews… umm.. we also looked at the Marriott downtown and the Ritz. The Ritz was actually really nice, but the room didn’t hold enough people for us. (I think the max was 230)
Other than that, we didn’t look around too much because we loved the Renaissance. Let me know if you need suggestions for other vendors though!
yay for cleveland brides!

Thanks ladies! We are actually get married at St. Luke’s in Lakewood! Yesterday I did the task of going to location after location after location. Very tiring! I LOVED Windows, however we do not have enough people for a Saturday night event. At least not at this point. Right now I really liked the 100th Bomb Group. Not being from here, downtown was a little hetic and stressfull. Tomorrow I am going to the Lakewood Country Club so I’m excited to go to just one location! lol! Thanks for all the help! I’m sure I’ll need more. We aren’t working with a huge budget and I know nothing about Cleveland!

Does anyone have any good ideas of a traditional/unusual place to have wedding photos taken? I am getting married in Parma and I have about 2hours between the ceremony and the reception. While it may sound crazy, I have four sisters who all got married in Cleveland and I want my pictures to be different then all of theirs. Almost everything I have planned or thought of one of them have already tried and I am looking for something different. Please please if you know a little spot somewhere let me know! Thanks 🙂 As for a good reception location try Country Lakes, it is a beautiful country club set up and looks amazing in the fall because of all the tall trees changing colors, I wanted my reception there but if I recall correctly it only holds up to 250 people.

Brecksville Metroparks has some great scenery, romantic spots, etc. We’re doing ours in the Brecksville gazebo/along the red brick street in the center of Brecksville… and then if we have time, heading into the metroparks. I bet you could find something cute in Independence, too. I’m not too familiar with Parma though, sorry!
