I got hello gorgeous hair extensions $99 special.  They are super long extensions, past my boobs, but you can trim them and cut them to any desired length.  This is a great deal, you get a ton of hair, more hair than I have on my head, about 7 wefts I think ???  The good thing about hello gorgeous is that you can pick and choose 2 or 3 hair colors to mix together at no extra cost.  This was great for me bc I am kina a honey blonde and have never seen extensions in my color and these matched perfect!  It is real human hair so you can wash it and curl it.  You can also go on youtube and there are hair extensions reviews for every brand imaginable.

And if the hair color doesnt match you can exchange for another color. 🙂

These are the only hair extensions I have ever seen or felt besides Sallys, so I cant compare quality, I really dont know much about that, but they look great to me and you can defiently wear them again and again if you take good care of them.

Yes, make sure that it is Remy hair otherwise it will be a hot mess.  Remy hair means that the cuticles are all at one end, and the end of the hair is at the other.  Non-remy hair is just all mixed up and the cuticles catch on eachother and it will look like 80s night.

I used them but I don’t know the brand, sorry! The girl who did my hair bought them for me. I’ve used permanent extensions before and these didn’t look as natural, but still awesome for using just for one day.

Can you use these for updos?

@noodlesploosh: Absolutely! The line where it’s clipped on would be hidden underneath your updo.

@meliss: Fab! I’m growing out my hair and have been for six months, but it’ll still be too short for what I want… Yay!

do extensions hold curl better than natural hair?

I think my extensions hold the curls better than my hair, but my hair does not like to hold a curl.

I was JUST about to post this exact thread– yay! For those of you who like specific brands, where did you buy them? Online? Or is there stores who sell these?

@CorgiTales: I bought some at Sally’s Beauty Supply but I did’t really like them for my hair. Not sure if you have one in your area. I wouldn’t suggest ordering extensions online unless you’ve used that particular brand before or are already famliar with certain brands because they are not all made equally.

I’m currently taking penatal vitamins to try and grow mine even faster BUT in the event that doesn’t work I’m going to get some more clip on extensions.

I got mine on ebay for $27 (free shipping).  They are human hair.  I took them to my stylist last week to get her opinion–she liked them alot & said the color is danged close.  Evidently, these can’t be colored (someone else posted that on another thread & she is right).  So, my stylist changed my hair color slightly to make for an even better match.

I’m happy.

I got my hair from a local beauty supply/wig store and made my own.  I ended up only using two on the side for fullness as my hair ended up growing long before the wedding… I only spent $40 on the hair and sewed in my own clips.
