I think I remember scrolling through FF and seeing a chart (BFP by the way) where they started Clomid on CD1. I thought it was really weird because I’ve never heard of it. Usually CD 3-7 or 5-9. But, no, she did not explain why on a certain day, but I’ve always been curious as to why they pick the days they do? Good Luck! I’m so excited for you! : )

I took it CD 5-9 – PCOS’er over here, so I guess that explains it. But my cycles before starting were actually 29 day cycles. The Clomid actually drug them out just a tag bit longer to 31-32.

i skipped clomid and did letrozole (femara) which im told is very similar to clomid.. i got my prescription on day 1 as i happened to be at my RE office already for the letrozole & hcg class, but i was told to start it on day 3. since i hear they are so familiar, id think clomid is day 3 as well. but maybe they vary from woman to woman.

    good luck dear!

@ChuckNorris:  Nope, no progesterone, no monitoring =(  I’m still with my OB/GYN and she does the least possible. Even when I thought I had a cyst this cycle, no u/s…But your in good hands my dear! =) And no CD1 on FF? I couldve swore I seen one, but maybe it was CD2? And yes, isn’t it crazy how cheap it is!!?? I got mine at WalMart and its on their $4 generic list, but it was still $7, I couldn’t believe it!??

@ChuckNorris:  Not sure, I started temping during my second cycle of clomid. I wouldn’t think it would affect them, but then again maybe? Very good question! Wish I could help. But glad you feel ok so far!

I know nothing about clomid, but I’m super excited for this next step for you!!! Hoping it doesn’t make you crazzzzy, and if it does it is worth it. πŸ™‚

@ChuckNorris:  yes, my RE chose femara. for the longest time i was wondering why i skipped clomid, but i guess the dr at our ivf office prefers femara for side effects etc. my ob had mentioned putting me on clomid after seeing how metformin did but i was too impatient to stay with the ob and found this ivf clinic for more help.
