Hey bees- newbee here! I’m starting clomid soon and was curious about others’ experiences. My doctor recommended I take it days 5-9 but didn’t explain why (and I didn’t think to ask). Rumor has it, 5-9 improves quality while 3-7 improves quantity. I have cycles that range between ~33-40 days and usually O in the later 20s so perhaps this is why I was told to do 5-9.
So as the poll implies, when did you take clomid and what was your result? Anyone have an opinion for me as to which days may be better for my cycle? (I’ll still follow doctors orders this cycle for 5-9 but just curious what others think.)

BunnyDos: I took 50mg days 2-6 and this resulted in 6 mature follicles and a BFP.

I did 5 – 9 and got my BFP the first month. I’m currently 30 weeks with a healthy baby boy.

My cycles were similar to yours and I also have PCOS. My dr recommended 5-9. I got pregnant on the first try. GL!

My first endocrinologist didn’t seem to have strong feelings either way, so he was like, “ehh, whichever you prefer.” I took it for two cycles, CD 3-7, and BFN. Next, I went to a fancy fertility clinic and I was like, “I don’t think the last guy knew much about Clomid; he didn’t even know which timing to recommend!” and the RE was like, “actually, he was right. It literally does not matter which one you do.”
I wound up getting pregnant on an unmedicated cycle after two Clomid cycles where I ovulated but didn’t get a BFP.
