My dress has a sweetheart neckline. I have been looking at pictures of my dress and determined that the sweetheart is too “open”.
Is it possible to stitch a sweetheart neckline closed a bit (it will still look like a sweetheart). Has anyone done this?
I am going to pick up my dress next week and I want to be ready with the list of alterations I want done.

Do you have any pictures of the dress?

I’m a little confused by what you mean by “closing”. Do you mean that you want to make it a little more subtle, i.e. not as deep/wide of a “v” in the center?
It probably can be done but it’s going to depend on how much material they have to work with, and particularly how low the neckline is currently. Talk to your seamstress and see what she thinks.

I had the same problem, they are simply adding more material from the hem of my dress to give more coverage. I had a lot of cleavage and my mom said it wasnt too much but i felt as if it was. it shouldnt be a problem, just ask!

I was wondering this same thing. I have an Enzoni “Erin” and the sweetheart neckline is kinda out there for my girls. I’m glad to know it can be done. :o)
