@Pelikila: Oh man! Have you seen the new wool colors that Erin posted on the sustainablebabyish facebook page?! I think I might buy a fitted just so I can buy some longies in that red and that teal.

We started cloth at birth but disposables at night. Well, we finally started doing cloth at night a few weeks ago (6 months). I was so afraid of leaking but none to speak of. We are using BumGenius and doubled the inserts.  Woo hoo!

By the way, those Ragababe diapers are very cool!

Ok, I’ll totally admit I haven’t read ALL the pages of this thread – but has anyone tried making their own CDs? I have mediocre sewing skills, but I do ha e over 7 months to figure it out! Lol just wondering if anyone could point me towards some DIY resources! Thanks!

YOu got a couple @pansyshell!!  Yay!!  I scored 1 for a friend.  I had two in the cart and one disappeared but 1 is better than none! 🙂

@jubyju22: @dchokiebride3: Yup! I got 2 with custom snaps. I’m so thrilled because I’ve been talking about these things for weeks! I promised Darling Husband that I’d stop with the diapers now…sigh. He said that’s what I said last time lol.

@jubyju22: I did one in black/silver and the other red/silver/black. I love how the silver looks with the stars.

@pansyshell:@jubyju22: I told my husband that diapers are what makes me happy…It’s sad but it’s true!

Plus, I HATE red and he LOVES red so I told him there are red diapers coming up and the black 2 steps with red stiching and he goes, “Ok well you can get some of those.” 🙂  I know how to get what i want. 😉

@dchokiebride3: I hate red too! But got red snaps because DS is loving red these days. I also want a red diaper for that reason, but Darling Husband likes it so maybe I can justify. I love the black diapers though. I have one (smartipants) and I love how it goes with everything. Not many companies make a black diaper though.

Okay so we are TTC but are certain we want to cloth diaper in Bum genius (elementals, 3.0, 4.0,).  I just wanted to share with you all that I found some really great used diapers on craigslist.  Seriously, of all places.  I got some elementals for $14 a piece and 3.0’s for $9 a piece.  They even delivered and was able to talk them down in price a bit.  I know it seems silly since we aren’t even preggo yet but heck.  We now have 14 elementals (practically brand new) and 18 bumgenius 3.0 that are in great condition for a grand total of $358 for 32 bumbenius.  That seems like a great number to start with and of course will register for some more diapers and  great inserts.  Between you guys and young house love blog, I am so excited about cloth diapering.  haha

I just posted a separate thread on this but figured I would post it here as well –

I’ve heard SO many different things about how to dry cloth diaper inserts and covers. I’m using BumGenius 4.0 (pockets with snaps) and FuzziBunz One Size (pockets with snaps). I washed them according to the directions and seeing that we dont have a line to line dry them I threw them in the dryer on airfluff. 2 cycles on air fluff later they STILL aren’t dry. I’ve read that throwing them in the dryer on regular settings is fine and I’ve also heard contradicting statements that the heat will make them less absorbant. I mentally can’t forsee myself putting up with it taking an entire day to dry my diapers. Help?
