@Omgbunnies:  I think that some of those items may be rejects, or returns.

Paypal is the most popular payment on ebay, and I would suggest using it. Paypal offers buyer protection, so if you don’t get something you ordered, or the quality is poor, or the item isn’t as described, you can open a complaint and get your money back – but, sometimes you do have to return the merchandise. [You would have to foot the shipping].

EDIT : I purchase from ebay, often! I’ve only had 1 horrible purchase, and it was for silk bouquets. The box was all sorts of tore up when it arrived at my house – resulting in broken, and smashed flower bouquets I had ordered. Not to mention, they weren’t what I had asked for. I opened a complaint with paypal and got a full refund in a matter of hours – I didn’t need to send the flowers back, as they were custom made.

Every other item i’ve purchased from ebay was as described and perfect!

@Omgbunnies:  Seems legit to me! I am an eBayaholic!! Just make sure you pay with paypal – that way you’re covered if you’re not happy with the product or it gets lost in the mail 🙂

General rule of thumb is that if they have a high rating from many reviewers that it is okay. I wouldn’t worry about your CC info, but you can always sign up for a PayPal account for free if you are worried. That way the seller never gets any of your personal info, and PayPal is really good about getting you a refund if the product is not what you expected. I didn’t look into this seller much, but my parents use eBay a lot, and they always said that if it is being shipped from somewhere like Hong Kong, China, etc. that you should reconsider because many of the items look great in pictures, but end up looking cheap in person. It also takes FOREVER to ship overseas, and it is expensive. Once I accidentally ordered something from Japan, and the standard shipping on it was like 3 months!

@Quinlan:  Whoa, that is a lot of negative feedback in a short time span!

Well… they did do over 40,000 sales in 1 month, so I wouldn’t consider their negative feedback ALOT compared to the 40k sales they did!

@akirasan:

That is a LOT of negative feedback!! Hrmmm… I don’t think I’d risk it. Seems like a lot of the listings are innacurate or have holes in them. HOLES?? Who sells stuff with holes in it!!??

I think alot of the clothing with holes, could be seam separation.. which they state very clearly they WONT list in the listing :

The following are examples of minor imperfections that are possible and will not be noted as flaws in the description.

  • Item may possess one or more price tags and/or stickers indicating multiple markdowns.
  • May need to be washed or dry-cleaned before wearing due to handling or trying on in department stores. Examples: makeup/deodorant marks.
  • Seam separations.
  • Loose threads/beads/embellishments. If an item is missing embellishments/buttons but extra are included, we will not disclose this in the description. Missing beads/embellishments will be noted if item does NOT come with extra. If they are loose or come with extra we will not note this in the description.
  • Small snags or runs.
  • Cut or snipped tags to prevent returns back to catalog company.
  • Shoes/Handbags/Other items from Famous Catalog may have an “X” or “clipped” marked on bottom/inside to prevent returns back to catalog company.
  • We are not responsible for variances in certain materials such as silk, linen and other natural fabrics.

We find that many of these imperfections can be easily fixed. Any major flaws not listed above will be stated in the description of the item. We guarantee that if an item has a major flaw which is not disclosed in the description, you may return it for your money back.

@Omgbunnies:  I’ve bought from them before and didn’t have a problem. I got it quickly and the quality was great.

@Omgbunnies:  Glad to help! Oh and not everything is a reject or second hand stuff. Lots of their stuff is brand new and may be discontinued items or last lot items. Definitely pay by Paypal. I would never give out my credit card info to any ebay store.
