I love cluster rings. I don’t personally have one, but I think some of them are beautiful and unique and I love the vintage element some of them have. With that said, I am pretty appalled by some of the posts here. I can understand an opinion about not liking a style, but to say that you don’t like a ring because it is pretending to be something it is not? How does an inanimate object “pretend” to be anything? What is it to you if someone has a cluster ring or a gemstone or a cz, because in your mind they can’t afford what *you* deem is acceptable for an engagement ring? Last I checked, none of you are buying eachother’s rings or paying eachother’s bills. It’s okay to say you don’t like something, but its not okay to try to make someone else feel bad about what they choose for themselves.

There are plenty of halos, solitaires, bands with sidestones, etc… that can be pretty or ugly in my opinion. It really differs from person to person- we all have our own tastes and that is OK.

MY OPINION: I don’t like that ring because it has too much going on/too many shapes. I would also worry about losing stones when there are THAT MANY of them that are all different and it may be hard to find replacement stones that will perfectly match. I have seen some really beautiful cluster rings at Helzberg, Kay and Jareds while helping my best friend’s bf shop around for her ring (she want’s something that sparkles from every direction and they have a limited budget) and some of the ones I have seen are beautiful without being distracting. The Helzberg Mosaic Collection as well as the Neil Lane collections (several stores carry this line) have some really beautiful cluster/invisi-set/composite rings and the stones and metal are good quality which is the most important factor for ANY ring.

If you love the ring, then that is all that matters. Get it and wear it with pride.

I have one, I think they’re beautiful so long as they’re not too big, mine has three clusters at the top and three bands so it looks like I’m wearing an eternity ring but I’m not, go with your heart xxx

LindsayAliece:  VallieC:  VictorianLilac718:  you all have stunning rings! I like clusters that have a vintage feel. While one of my BFFs has a square cluster and loves it (you can seriously feel the love she has for it ) i am more drawn to the circular/floral style of cluster rings.

I think if you love it rock it! its for you and no one else.

futureJNS:  I think it is pure snobbery, when people hate on clusters because they are clusters.. Sorry, I know I’m going against the wind here, but that’s just my opinion. I think clusters can be absolutely beautiful, and they come in all sizes and shapes.. With that said, and I hope I’m not offending you, this ring is gawdy to me. I think it looks like a toy ring almost.. Way too much for my taste. But it’s not because it’s a cluster, it’s the design I’m disliking.. But if you love it, you should get it! 🙂

this thread is a bit old, but I’m now also looking at clusters and planned to post a similar question. the cluster style I seem to love is actually the type described by most bees as the “wanna be” type, but I don’t see the point of NOT getting max sparkles for your budget. (pics are of general cluster assemblies I like.) My question to the group is, if you have a cluster, do you find its getting dirty so fast that you wish you’d done a solitaire?

britt67284:  I have a cluster, and I don’t find mine gets dirty. I think solitaires are very pretty, but I love mine because my fiance picked it out, so I’d never want anything else. I take mine off when I wash dishes and sleep and shower though so I’m pretty easy on my ring. It stays nice and sparkly all the time!

The above picture was not edited. Mine is very high quality combined setting 2 carat effect diamond ring which I couldn’t stop staring at and I get at least 2 compliments a week!

I like the bling, I like the price and I really don’t understand some of my friends who had to take out a loan to buy a 2 carat solitaire diamond ring. My husband and I spend the money we saved from buying this ring on 2 dream holidays and we eat at hotels every weekend. We went on a Mediterranean cruise last year and going to see the great migration in Botswana next Feb. Very very excited!  Oh I always bought a pair of round diamond earrings which I wear everyday!

emilymartin1 :  your ring is so pretty. You can’t even tell it’s not one large diamond. Where was it bought if you don’t mind me asking?

I have one and absolutely love it! Like everyone says depends on your style; but not whether you can afford a solid stone or not. Because I can very well afford it but I like the bling and look it gives of my hand. I’m not into one single diamond; unless it was on some K. Kardashian like 💍🤑So sometimes you see price is not the issue. Its what you like. Everyday I get compliments and stopped to look at it by admired female strangers and comments from men like damn that’s nice. I know it is cause I chose it lol It’s my e ring and wedding ring in one. No need for extra band as it already has one mend to the ring. Any extra band wouldn’t fit and go passed the knuckle. My size ring is 6 so you can only imagine that’s enough.  Had I gotten anything else because of others opinions I would be at jewelry store and online admiring(😭)the one I wanted and didn’t get. Get it and wear it proud!
