Has any one used a clutch bag as a bouquet? Currently the only flowers that I have are the bouquets but I have been tossing around the idea to have the bridesmaids carry clutches and was thinking about doing so myself but a different style or color. I have two fathers so I will be walking with both so both arms will be taken up and I am a very petite woman. Has any one done this at their wedding? or have pictures of this?

I think it looks cute in pictures, but it really makes me think “Why are they bringing a purse up to the altar?”. I mean, purses are to keep items you may need with you. They aren’t going to be reapplying lip gloss in the middle of the ceremony, so it seems kind of out of place. The bouquets are symbolic (fertility) so they at least have a bit more of a role in what’s going on.

I was a bridesmaid in my friend’s wedding and we had clutches with flowers pinned on them instead of bouquets. It’s not a great picture, but you can get the idea. It was a little awkward to hold the clutch at times. But, they looked pretty and I would imagine that they would be cheaper than bouquets if you found inexpensive clutches.
